Paediatric Therapy

The Speech Therapy Centre has a number of therapists with extensive experience of providing speech and language therapy to children of all ages.

Children often respond well to a programme of intensive therapy within their home or school environment. With this in mind, we will work with all the significant people in your child’s life – including family members, teaching staff and any other relevant individuals – to provide an intensive and supported therapeutic experience.

You will be fully consulted as we work with your child, and regular aims and objectives will be set out in agreement with your family. We are happy to offer home visits or attend your child’s school according to your child’s individual requirements.

Our Paediatric services have been devised to offer a direct and specific therapy with fun and enjoyment as the key focus wherever possible. In our experience, children respond best in a relaxed and familiar environment with activities centred around play.

Our Paediatric Therapy Services typically cover issues such as:

  • Speech Delay / Disorder
  • Language Delay / Disorder
  • Dysfluency (Stammering)
  • Acquired Disorders (Brain injury, Stroke)
  • Congenital Disorders (Downs Syndrome, Semantic Pragmatic Disorder)
  • Dysphagia (Feeding & Swallowing)
  • Autistic Spectrum Disorder
  • Voice

We also specialise in working with children to build their confidence and self-esteem, which can be greatly affected by communication difficulties. If this is something that you feel would benefit your child, please contact us for more information.
